Lolita Davidovich has been floating around Hollywood for years now, but she seems to have landed yet another role that will boost her red even further. She’s not a featured player on the scene, but landing a role in True Detective isn’t something that the producers are just handing out, which means Davidovich landing the role is a big deal for her career.
According to Deadline, Davodvich will be playing the mother of Taylor Kitsch’s character in the second seasons of the show.
"Davidovich will play Kitsch’s mother Nancy Simpson, a girly girl, a former showgirl continually sucking on cigarettes and margaritas as she mourns the loss of male sexual attention. What little of her hopes remain she has transferred onto her adult son, who, in her eyes, is God’s gift to women."
Not only is it a bog role for Davidovich, but it gives True Detective another solid actress to add to the fold. Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn have already been added to the cast and are headlining, with a growing supporting cast that is looking to be great for what the series will bring about.
