True Detective has inspired a lot of creativity in its fans, as one woman has gone ahead and etched the show onto her body for all of eternity.
When True Detective premiered this past year, there was a lot of hype but not a lot of certainty about how things would go. Then the world saw Matthew McConaughey’s turn as Rust Cohle and the game was forever changed. True Detective went from being something that was a col idea that could work out to something that will go down in television history.

That all had to do with McConaughey’s role as Rust but it’s something that has no doubt stuck with fans long after the series has wrapped up it’s first crucial season. Proof of how invested fans are in the show can be seen in just how willing they are to display their fandom in crazy ways. There are parodies out there that obviously come from fans of the show, but one woman has gone a step further and has etched the show into her skin and onto her body for the rest of her life.

It’s one thing to love a show while it’s a completely different thing to love it so much that you morph your body from the way it was when you were born to reflect that fandom. That’s what a tattoo is and this fans has shown just how much people love True Detective. A year ago, this show didn’t exist and there was no reason for this woman to get that tattoo.
But in it’s short time on the air, True Detective has left that great of an impact and that’s something that will never go away.
