True Detective Remembers: Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Rogen
True Detective Remembers takes a look back at the True Detective happenings of yore in case you missed out.
It’s crazy to think about it, but it’s actually been almost a year since Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Rogen spoofed True Detective. A year! Technically it will be a year in two months. In that context it actually doesn’t feel that we’ve been waiting for True Detective’s second season all that long.

But in our hearts, it feels like ages.
Anyway, this particular spoof features Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Rogen and aired during Jimmy Kimmel Live. Kimmel and Rogen went all out for this one, and it was an early case of success for the True Detective spoof. Something which has become its own art-form over time.
At this point in time True Detective had taken popular culture by storm and was seemingly everywhere. And to think it wasn’t even the apex of it all, as quality spoofs continue to pour in even now, almost a year after True Detective’s first season ended.
Considering that True Detective fans have had no new material to work off of, that’s certainly saying something.
Hopefully True Detective’s second season will be able to produce spoofs of this quality, but it’s much too early to tell. In case you missed it or just want to relive it, here is Jimmy Kimmel’s True Detective spoof.
