SNL Poked Fun at Matthew McConaughey (Video)
It’s the 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Live and they chose to celebrate in style. This past Sunday saw a three-hour SNL extravaganza that brought back many of the loved SNL members of old as well as beloved skits. Although Matthew McConaughey was not part of the celebration, he was at least there in spirit.

SNL brought back one of Will Farrell’s greatest segments, Celebrity Jeopardy. For this revival, Jim Carrey played Matthew McConaughey with a McConaughey voice-over.
This was actually Carrey’s second time taking on McConaughey — he previously spoofed Matthew McConaughey’s Lincoln ads.
Celebrity Jeapordy also featured Christoph Waltz (Taran Killam,) Justin Bieber (Kate Mckinnon,) Burt Reynolds (Norm MacDonald,) Tony Bennet (Alec Baldwin,) Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery.
Oh, and also Kenan Thompson as Bill Cosby. Basically, if you’ve ever considered yourself an SNL fan you owe it to yourself to watch this.
Let’s be honest, there is something fun and ridiculous about the Matthew McConaughey Lincoln commercials and Jim Carrey has consistently nailed it so far. If only it could be a regular SNL sketch.
If you haven’t watched this yet, do so immediately. And if you have, watch it again. We could also use more Celebrity Jeopardy in our lives, especially when there is a Matthew McConaughey spoof involved.
