HBO Go to Debut on PS4 Today
By Josh Hill
True Detective is coming to the PS4 as HBO and Sony will be rolling out HBO Go on the next-gem console later today.
HBO Go has been one of the most popular streaming services on the market and it’s coming to yet another device that is wildly owned throughout the world. The PS4 has had a hard time rolling out features on it’s backend — such as the ability to download and play pre-PS4 games — but they’re fixing up their streaming game in a big way.

According to ComingSoon, both Sony and HBO will be rolling out HBO GO on the PS4 later today.
"Sony and HBO have announced today that the HBO GO app will be making its way onto PlayStation 4 systems later today! The partnership was originally announced back in January of 2014.The app functions just like the PS3 version. After authenticating your PS4 with your current cable/satellite service through HBOGO.com/activate"
This is huge.
What this means is the PS4 will finally have True Detective available for those who have the console. Previously, only the PS3 had the ability to stream HBO Go, which was a source of much frustration for owners of PS4 devices.
But adding HBO Go — even though it took forever — is something that will make PS4 owners more than a little ecstatic an it’s a great move for both Sony and HBO.
