Vince Vaughn’s Unfinished Business has Bombed
Vince Vaughn is currently filming the second season of True Detective in which he’ll play a villain. It’s a new dramatic turn for Vaughn, who has been well-known as a comedic actor for over a decade. Vaughn was recently on a press tour for his newest film, Unfinished Business, but apparently on amount of promotional interviews can save this one.

According to The Warp, Unfinished Business is a total bomb. That’s not necessarily noticeable by itself, but it becomes somewhat alarming when you put it in better context: it’s his fifth consecutive bomb. Taking that into consideration, True Detective could not come at a better time for Vince Vaughn.
His career is in need of a boost, and though it’s not right to expect the same sort of Matthew McConaughey rise, it’s fairly safe to say that True Detective will help. As pointed out by The Wrap, True Detective is a sort of stepping stone for Vaughn.
Even though Unfinished Business is a bust, Vaughn currently has a reboot of The Rockford Files lined up as well as a Term Life, a film that we previously brought to your attention. This could signal an about-face for Vaughn, but it’s a bit too early to tell.
Vince Vaughn has the ability to be a great dramatic actor, and maybe that’s where he should look if comedic roles are not longer doing the trick. It will be very interesting to see where Vaughn’s career goes in the future.
