True Detective Featured on Indie Wire Podcast
The first season of True Detective has been off the year for about a year already and doesn’t have a set premiere date for season two. Being off the air for more than a year isn’t such a stretch for HBO, but it does mean that we have to wait longer for details to slip out. Even counting Vince Vaughn’s recent media blitz.

Indie Wire recognizes this problem, and so they put together a new podcast called Very Good TV. The new podcast is, as its name suggests, dedicated to discussing good TV. The first episode happens to also be True Detective themed, with the Indie Wire staff talking about one of their top shows of 2014.
The podcast is made up of one person who has seen True Detective and is a self-professed serious fan, and another that hasn’t seen it until recently. This episode goes into True Detective’s poor performance during award season, why it was so great, and what you can spend your time on between seasons.
It’s a good listen if you have some time to kill even if you’re not a podcast junkie. For True Detective fans that are craving a fix ahead of season two, this inaugural episode of Very Good TV hits the spot.
