True Detective Season Two: There’s Gong to be an Orgy

True Detective operates on the seedier side of life, or at least its first season did. There’s currently no reason to believe that the second season would be any different, and today’s news only backs that up. We’ve known that Vince Vaughn’s character is involved in underground sex (all dark, powerful men seem to be, don’t they?) but it looks like we’re going to be treated to an orgy.

The Hollywood Reporter is (ahem) reporting that at least two porn stars have been cast for this orgy scene. Hollywood Reporter’s sources are stating that the two women (Amia Miley and Peta Jensen) weren’t hired for “their porn experience” but were signed up as extras.

Which apparently actually makes sense since they don’t actually get naked themselves.

The scene was already shot over several days in a mansion and Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams were said to be present. The two signed a nondisclosure agreement so don’t expect any more details to be coming from them, unfortunately.

We still don’t have a premiere date for True Detective’s second season, but it’s expected to arrive in the summer. If that’s the case, it’s likely that filming will wrap in the next month or so and we’ll see the first serious ad push.
