Brush up on Your Nietzsche with True Detective (Video)
The philosophical depths of True Detective have been plumbed before, but there’s always room for more. With so little to go for the second season of True Detective, it never hurts to go back and perhaps discover what you may have missed.

That’s where this video from YouTube user The Rugged Pyrrhus comes in, which attempts to pair Nietzsche’s idea of Eternal Recurrence with True Detective. It’s aimed squarely at those that want to explore True Detective’s philosophies more and may not be too interesting to those that aren’t already hooked on the idea.
Still, it’s worth your time if you’re having trouble coping with True Detective’s absence. Something that’s very understandable considering that it’s been over a year since True Detective’s first season ended. We don’t yet know what sort of philosophies, if any, the second season of True Detective will contain. So now’s as good a time as any to return to the first.
If you have any interest in Nietzsche as presented in True Detective, consider this video well worth your time.
