On Saturday, HBO released the trailer for their new star-studded series Ballers starring Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock.
In the series, Johnson plays an ex-NFL star who now acts as a financial manager for other players, according to Variety.
In addition to Johnson, Ballers also stars Peter Berg, Rob Corddry, Omar Benson Miller, and Richard Schiff.

Immediately, the money, lavish lifestyle, and the parties stand out as the hook for the series. In that way, Ballers reminds me a lot of Entourage. Considering who is involved with the project, the Entourage comparison makes complete sense.
Ballers was created by Steve Levinson, who also happens to be Mark Wahlberg’s manager. If you recall, Wahlberg and Levinson were both producers on Entourage. Along with Johnson, Levinson, Wahlberg, Peter Berg and Evan Reilly will act as executive producers for the series.
With the Entourage movie on tap for this summer, HBO could be looking to cash in on a reignited fan base.
Ballers premieres Sunday, June 21, on HBO following the second season premiere of True Detective.
