Game of Thrones episodes leak before Season 5 premiere

It appears the Game of Thrones-watching community is becoming just as treacherous as the world of Westeros.

In a sad turn of events one day before the Season 5 premiere of Game of Thrones on HBO, the first four episodes of Season 5 leaked online, according to Deadline Hollywood.

Early on, there was plenty of speculation as to where the leak came from, but according to the report, the leak has come from “screeners,” or copies of the episodes sent to the media members to review prior to the season premiere.

In just the first three hours of being online, the Game of Thrones episodes were downloaded more than 100,000 times, according to the report.

In all honesty, the Game of Thrones leak is particularly ironic.

Game of Thrones is the biggest show in the world, and it’s no secret that Game of Thrones is also the most pirated show in the world. In 2015, those two things go hand-in-hand.

Because of the increased piracy of their shows, especially Game of Thrones, HBO has taken a number of proper steps to ensure their shows are better protected and more available for the viewers. That’s one of the major reasons HBO Now is happening, and the sole reason why Game of Thrones and other HBO shows are available at the same time all over the world.

HBO tried to make the playing field level for all viewers, but it appears that strategy didn’t pay off very well.

Hopefully, HBO is able to figure out where the leak came from and nip the situation in the bud before it starts to get out of hand. If this happens again with True Detective or another series, there’s no reason why HBO would even send out the episodes in advance.

That’s bad for everyone, if that starts happening.
