True Detective Season Two: Courtney Halverson Says it’s all One Big Secret
True Detective is well-known by now for its secretive nature. That’s not just only talking about the details of the plot, but also its production. Until very recently, True Detective has been as silent as humanly possible during the production of the second season. There were likely many reasons for that, but one may be the nature of creator Nic Pizzolatto who has been known to shun the spotlight.

That secretive touch has also extended itself to the actors themselves, it seems. Those who like to remained as unspoiled as possible may want to check out at this point, so consider this an official Spoiler warning.
Courtney Halverson, who is slated to appear in two episodes of True Detective season two as Erica Jonson, allegedly said that she herself barely understands it all.
“Even I don’t know what’s going on,” she said according to Hitfix. It’s possible that details about True Detective that don’t directly involve Halverson’s character are being purposefully kept from her. Considering that she’s not one of the lead actors, it’s likely that she doesn’t need to actually know the full story.
If so, it once again speaks to how closed the production of True Detective has been so far.
Not too long ago we caught word that True Detective season two will feature a “massive orgy,” but the two actors who were questioned about the scene were of course under NDA’s.
The second season of True Detective will premiere this June and star Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, and Taylor Kitsch. In case you’re not totally put to date — or just want to watch it again and again — check out our analysis of the teaser trailer. We’ll get more information to you when we have it, but HBO and True Detective have been very careful to let things come out exactly when they want them to.
