True Detective through the Eyes of Natalie Imbruglia (Video)
The True Detective season two train is in full motion now. We’ve seen the first teaser, saw some neat posters, and now the spoofs are coming in. And let’s be honest here, as awesome as the first True Detective season two trailer is, there is a lot to poke fun at.

YouTube user noelkristi saw what many others could now in said teaser: a 90’s drama waiting to pop. The True Detective season two trailer is full of meaningful looks, tortured actions, and people generally loosing their cool and looking haggard.
That’s where the sweet tones of Natalie Imbruglia come in.
We have so little True Detective footage to use for spoofs — a one-minute trailer is the long and short of it — so basically this spoof is just the season two trailer with Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn” spliced in. But don’t let the simple-ness of it get in the way of its beauty.
Before this moment you’ve never known that you needed a Natalie Imbruglia/True Detective mashup. But after watching it, you’ll realize that your life could never have properly continued without seeing it. Although this spoof is great work, it’s not the first True Detective season two spoof that we’ve seen.
And we’re fairly confident that it won’t be anywhere near the last. True Detective is far too serious of a show to be left alone, and that’s just the way we like it.
