HBO just keeps cranking them out, don’t they?

This weekend, HBO picked up a new “limited series” starring Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, according to a Deadline Hollywood report.

The series titled Big Little Lies is based on the book, Big Little Lies, written by Liane Moriarty. It was (and still is) being developed for TV by David E. Kelly, the creator of Chicago Hope, Boston Legal, The Practice, Ally McBeal, and a bunch of other great shows.

According to the report, Big Little Lies “is described as a subversive comedy which tells the tale of three mothers of kindergartners whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder.”

That sounds pretty awesome, if you ask me!

There has been no announcement of a release date or even a timetable yet. Hopefully, HBO and David E. Kelly can get it going as soon as possible!

Comparatively speaking, HBO is at the top of the TV game, especially when they keep presenting these shows with A-List actors.

Last year, it was True Detective with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. True Detective: Season 2 will star Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, and Rachel McAdams. The Brink has Jack Black and Tim Robbins. Throw in the casts of Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, and Veep, and HBO is killing it right now, in terms of the actors they have featured in their shows.

Until other networks and platforms, like Netflix and Yahoo!, can pull that kind of talent on a regular basis, HBO is always going to be on top.
