HBO is back at it again in the month of August with great new movies and TV Shows!

This month, HBO is adding Academy Award nominated movies Birdman and The Theory of Everything. On top of those two movies, HBO is also adding The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Meet the Parents, and more!

On the TV side, The Brink, Ballers, True Detective, and Last Week Tonight continue their current seasons at the beginning of August. However, True Detective’s Season 2 finale will air on August 9. Season finales of The Brink and Ballers will air on August 23.

HBO is also releasing the hit NFL training camp series Hard Knocks featuring J.J. Watt and the Houston Texans. Most importantly, HBO will be releasing David Simon’s six-part miniseries Show Me A Hero, which is obviously going to be fantastic!
