HBO Unleashed the First Teaser for Game of Thrones Season Six
By Sam Rideout
HBO has unveiled the teaser trailer for Game of Thrones season six, but don’t get too excited just yet.
The sixth season of Game of Thrones won’t be airing until April. but today HBO saw fit to show off the first teaser trailer. You may want to keep your expectations in check. While it’s exciting to see so many Jon Snow teases, the teaser shows absolutely no new footage of season six. In fact, it’s just a montage of old shots.
See for yourself:

There are, however, three things to be taken from the teaser. One, is that HBO is teasing Jon Snow’s return like there is no tomorrow. Two, is that almost every shot in the teaser is one of violence. Three, Bran will be coming back. Did you happen to remember that Bran wasn’t in the fifth season? Because I didn’t.

As always, Game of Thrones is suitably epic. There’s really not that much else to take away from the teaser besides that. HBO is ready to kick the Game of Thrones season six hype train into full gear, but it’s still a long way away. It’s likely that this will be the only clip that HBO shares before the new year, but maybe something new will come in mid or late January.
Game of Thrones is just about finished adapting the major storylines from George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, but they there is still a fair amount leftover that could be adapted for the new season. Hopefully this time around the invented storylines, such as Jamie’s trip to Dorne last season, work a little better.

Let’s be honest, that one didn’t work at all.
