Colin Farrell has teamed up with Google to create a virtual tour of Dublin.

Colin Farrell has sort of become a representative of True Detective season two. He even participated in Jimmy Kimmel’s Mean Tweets skit to read a True Detective-flavored tweet. It’s sort of like what happened with Matthew McConaughey, except the opposite since very few people actually liked True Detective season two.

Farrell’s next project actually allows him to speak in his natural accent, unlike True Detective. Colin Farrell has partnered with Google to offer a virtual tour of Dublin in honor of the 1916 Easter Rising. For those that aren’t too familiar with Irish history or politics, the Easter Rising was an attempt to establish an Irish Republic.

This new, commemorative project, is titled Dublin Rising and casts Colin Farrell as narrator. The site encourages the use of headphones, which is defiantly recommended to get the full effect. The tour talks about the difference between modern-day Dublin and how it was back in 1916, the year of the uprising, while also covering the event itself.

It’s a great way to learn a bit of history, especially for those that may not have heard of the Easter Rising before. Dublin would make a fine choice for the True Detective season three setting, wouldn’t it? Though at this point any other non-American city is looking mighty fine.

Next: Matthew McConaughey is on the cover of Garden and Gun Magazine.

Besides talking about his nation’s history, Colin Farrell will also have a large role in the upcoming Harry Potter prequel/spinoff film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
