Rachel McAdams Will be Presenting at the SAG Awards
Rachel McAdams will be a presenter at the upcoming SAG Awards.
The SAG Awards are the awards that oftentimes gets more buzz than the Golden Globes. This is because the SAG’s are decided by fellow actors and not members of some “press agency” that thinks The Martian is a comedy. They’re usually a fun night and most actors talk about how wining a SAG is more meaningful than winning any other award. Respect of your peers and all that.

This year, Rachel McAdams will have the honor at being one of many presenters. It is not, however, her work on True Detective that got her to the awards — it’s Spotlight, which McAdams is nominated for under Fantastic Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. True Detective is, of course, not nominated in any capacity.

Rachel McAdams has been riding high on the Spotlight love, having also been nominated (and losing,) at the recent Golden Globes. McAdams was also nominated for her role in Spotlight as well as True Detective at the Critic’s Choice Awards, but once again lost.
It’s an especially tough award season this year, and McAdams wasn’t the only one to give a noteworthy performance.
Hopefully her luck will turn around at the SAG Awards and more people will forget that True Detective season two ever happened. Fortunately for us we won’t have to wait very long at all to find out, as the 2016 SAG Awards will take place this very weekend, on January 30th.
Next: Someone went ahead and put True Detective in your Pokemon.
