Rachel McAdams lost the Academy Award, but Spotlight won the big prize of the night.

Rachel McAdams was the only actor nominated for True Detective in any capacity. She didn’t end up winning, but there was some hope that she would win the Oscar for her role in Spotlight. Rachel McAdams has been busy with Spotlight, and will be moving into Doctor Strange, but she hasn’t been too keen on talking about True Detective. Considering how little has been said by the actual actors involved with season two, it is almost like it never happened. It’s likely that many would prefer that to have been the case.
