The Walking Dead is a Sunday evening staple for many households, but will it be on AMC tonight, April 9th?
No. The Walking Dead recently wrapped up its seventh season on AMC in an extended finale that saw many of our favorite heroes put in mortal danger by the series’ newest and most brutal villain; Negan. Spoilers for the season 7 finale follow, along with news on The Walking Dead’s season 8 return.

Season 7 started out with a bang or rather several of them. After season 6 left us hanging as to which of our favorite survivors might meet their fate at the hands of Negan his favorite toy; Lucille.
We quickly watched as longtime fan favorites Glen and Abraham brutally killed by Negan and Lucille. It would not be the last death of the season.
Last week, Sasha committed suicide in an attempt to get at Negan, as well as to prevent herself from being used against the Alexandria survivors.
It was an action-packed episode that saw many of the communities unite against Negan. Negan had more than a few aces up his sleeve, including the dumpster community, that will set up quite the conflict in season 8.
An exact date for season 8 has not yet been set, but we do know the series will return to AMC in October. Season 7 will likely hit Netflix shortly before that. What we will do with our Sunday nights until then, we have no idea. Maybe watch that Game of Thrones show. We’ve heard that’s good.
