The Doctor helps Bill move into a creepy new house, and of course, finds a mystery in the process.
“Knock Knock” was another great episode in what has been an outstanding series of Who. Doctor Who series 10 is not just the very best series of Peter Capaldi Doctor Who, it’s one of the best we’ve seen so far.

In every great season of Doctor Who you have the creepy house episode. Whether it’s Sally Sparrow figuring out the angels in “Blink” or Amy Pond with those creepy dolls in “Night Terrors” these type of episodes are a Doctor Who tradition. This time in “Knock Knock” you don’t just get the creepy monsters, you get the creepy monsters and the house itself is trying to eat you.
Bill and a group of young friends are looking for a new place to live and it’s been a struggle. The students don’t have a lot of money and so finding a place to stay is hard. Suddenly they are approached by a creepy old landlord that has a giant house for rent, of course, it’s too good to be true.
One of the fun little moments in “Knock Knock” is that when the Doctor is embarrassing Bill with her new friends she decides to tell them that he’s her grandfather. This, of course, is an allusion back to the Doctor’s first companion, who was, of course, his grandfather. It further points out the protective type relationship that the Doctor has formed with Bill. If we see someone playing the Doctor’s true granddaughter later in the series it will make even more sense now.
“Knock Knock” is wonderful creepy horror Who, which of course isn’t too scary. It’s a fun episode and further explains Bill and the Doctor’s new relationship. This is just a wonderful series of Who. We give “Knock Knock” an A.
