Fargo season 3, episode 4: Watch ‘The Narrow Escape Problem’ online

“Fargo” returns to Minnesota where Emmit faces new challenges from Varga and his brother Ray in ‘The Narrow Escape Problem.’
Fargo took a one-episode detour to California last week for Gloria’s investigation into Thaddeus Mobley, her stepfather’s birth name under which he wrote several sci-fi novels and even a screenplay for a sleazy producer who he later attacked in a hotel room.
The young man decided to flee after committing the crime to start a new life under the name “Ennis Stussy,” taken from the toilet he vomited in, with the “D” in Dennis Stussy & Sons worn off. Though the journey turned out to provide some personal illumination for Gloria, she acknowledged by the end of the episode that it had little if anything to do with her investigation into his murder.
Luckily, there was some advancement in the case back home in Eden Valley. Upon her return, her partner, Donny, tells her that some prints were pulled which indicate that the prime suspect is Maurice LaFay, Ray’s parolee who he hired to steal a vintage stamp from his brother’s home.

However, the stoner criminal lost the piece of paper where the address was written down, drove to a similarly named town and looked in the phone book for any man with the last name Stussy, murdering Ennis in a case of mistaken identity after breaking in to his home.
In episode 4, entitled “The Narrow Escape Problem,” Gloria will attempt to track down more information about the ex-con by visiting Ray, his parole officer. The promo for the episode shows that Gloria becomes suspicious and begins to connect the dots when she realizes that he shares a last name with the one her late stepfather adopted years ago.
But a newly shaved Ray has bigger fish to fry as he and his fiancée, Nikki, are plotting their next move in acquiring the valuable stamp by having him impersonate his brother using a curly brown wig. Nikki is seen telling him the number of the safe deposit box that she saw during her own unsuccessful attempt to take back the stamp from Emmit’s home.
Also seen in the trailer is Varga inviting himself over to Emmit’s house for dinner to meet his wife and kids, purportedly to help smooth things over between the two. The season 3, episode 4 synopsis infers that Emmit and his business partner Sy will also “try to figure out what they’ve gotten themselves into” with their new investor.
