Man, Daenerys sure does like to tell folks to bend the knee, a lot. Like, a whole lot. Regardless, she’s the victor, for now, and that means she gets to demand whatever she likes from her captives.

Going through the preview, it looks like 705, “Eastwatch” is going to have a ton of moving parts, and since the episode is slated to run for 59 minutes, things will have to move rather swiftly in order for it all to fit in. We’ve got:

  • Dany, Drogon, and Tyrion still on the field of battle demanding fealty from the Lannister forces.
  • Tyrion and Varys talking about ways to “make her listen,” with her obviously meaning Daenerys.
  • Jon talking about a message from his brother Bran who saw the Night King and his army marching to Eastwatch.
  • Bran’s ravens flying over the army of the Night King
  • And finally, Dany landing who we think is Rhaegal in front of Jon and letting the little brother of Drogon flex on the King in the North…who doesn’t flinch, by the way.

It makes sense to have Dany riding Rhaegal around Dragonstone, especially if Drogon is wounded from the Scorpion bolt he took to the shoulder. And, thematically, it fits into Jon’s story, as he is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen, who Dany named Rhaegal after.
