If you were hoping to watch an all-new episode of Outlander tonight, October 15, then we’ve got some news for you.

Sorry, Outlander fans. Starz has decided, in its infinite wisdom, to cause you a week’s worth of pain and suffering, as Outlander season 3 is taking the night off, tonight (October 15). The reason? probably because Starz enjoys watching fans of the show suffer. I’m kidding. However, presumably, the premium network is giving fans a chance to catch up or relive the first five episodes of season 3, before gifting us with Claire and Jamie’s long-awaited reunion.

Here’s the preview for episode 306, “A. Malcolm.”

Don’t worry about the week off, because when it does return next Sunday, Outlander episode 306 will be a supersized 74 minutes long, according to Entertainment Weekly. Executive producer Matthew B. Roberts explained the reason for the episode’s length.

"We wanted to let this episode breathe, to be special. And we also felt it was important they reconnect. Look at all that has happened to our characters in the first five episodes. It’s been an emotional battle. We needed them to get back together and take a really deep breath, find out a little bit about each other again before we throw ’em back into the rush of what’s coming in the second half. A little bit of extra episode doesn’t hurt."

When it does return next week, here’s everything you’ll need to know about episode 306:
