Fargo season 4 likely to return in 2019
If you’re a Fargo fan and were hoping season 3 would not be the show’s last, we’ve got some great news for you!
Fargo series creator Noah Hawley has an idea for the 4th season of his wildly popular anthology, but according to him, it’s going to take some time. Speaking at the Association Press Tour in Pasadena, California, FX chairman John Landgraf told reporters in attendance the show is “Not gone.”
"Noah Hawley, who has become quite a busy bee… has told us that he has an idea that excited me enormously for a fourth cycle of Fargo and the plan is to have that ready in 2019. The anticipation is there will be another cycle of Fargo in 2019."

So it looks like we’re getting an all-new season of Fargo in 2019! 2018 is going to be such a long year. According to Entertainment Weekly, Noah Hawley added to the conversation, in a joking manner, that season 4 was going to be Fargo Space Station. Too bad he’s joking around here because I would love to know about the aliens from season 2.
Hawley’s next project within the world of Fargo is a “book that looks at the [previous] three seasons with scripts, interviews and everything,” that will be published by his own publisher, Grand Central. As to season 4, Hawley had this to say:
"It’s still early for me. I really love that world. But it’s still very much a question for me of making sure there’s something left to say about it, and balancing tone. I never want it to be something that people go, ‘Oh that thing, it’s the accents and the funny crime show.’ Yeah, it’s still very much a work in progress.”"

In the meantime, Hawley’s next project for FX falls into the MCU with Legion, which has its second season premiering in April 2018.
