Julia Louis-Dreyfus will be back in office starting August!

After her ongoing battle with breast cancer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus has completed chemotherapy and is set to return to begin work on Veep in August. Currently, on hiatus, production for the seventh and final season of Veep will begin at the end of the summer and is slated for a 2019 air date on HBO.

Louis-Dreyfus has been joining the rest of the cast for table reads while scripts for the season are in the process of being written. Co-star Matt Walsh (Mike McLintock) praised Louis-Dreyfus’ bravery and confirmed to Entertainment Weekly the good news.

More from Show Snob

"Veep is on hiatus, we’ll start filming in August and it will air in 2019. We’ve known for about a month. We’ve seen [Julia], she’s done some table reads, she’s doing well, she’s finished her last chemo, she’s in recuperation. Her prospectives have remained excellent throughout. She’s very well loved; she’s a tremendous person."

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has more than one reason to celebrate as she has broken the record of the most wins at the SAG Awards. Past Sunday’s awards added two more wins to her name in the categories for Best TV Comedy Actress and Comedy Ensemble.

These additional wins put her at a whopping nine total SAG awards. Veep’s ensemble win was a first, ending Orange Is The New Black’s streak over the last three years. Louis-Dreyfus also became the first actress to win five trophies to her name (three for Veep and two for Seinfeld).
