New Walking Dead Photos Shows Carl Saying Goodbye
By Shawn Lealos
Some new Walking Dead photos just hit online.
A TVLine exclusive showed fans two brand-new photos from the upcoming second half of season eight of The Walking Dead. In the two pictures, fans can see Carl writing what will probably be a goodbye letter to his friends and family and in the second, Michonne and Rick are putting out a fire with fire extinguishers, something that seems funny for a show about a dystopian society.
Check out the two photos here.
That second Walking Dead photo should come as no surprise to anyone who saw earlier released photos from the midseason premiere, which showed Alexandria burning to the ground. Check out this photo to see what Rick and Michonne might be facing (making those extinguishers look a little weak for the job at hand).

With that said, there is a lot to take in when thinking about what is coming up in the second half of The Walking Dead and its eighth season. Carl is dying, which is a significant shock since he plays such an essential role in the comic books way after the All Out War ends. There will be his death to consider, but the ramifications will also play into how the actual war ends.
Fans who read the Walking Dead comics know how the war ends and what happens to the key participants in this war. If Carl’s death means what the showrunner says it does, his death will be the catalyst in a fundamental decision that Rick Grimes has to make. This letter that Carl is writing might play a role in that decision.
As for the scene of Rick and Michonne putting out fires, that could be symbolic of the fires they have been fighting in Alexandria all along, and ones they will face when they make their ultimate decision at the end of the All Out War.
