The Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3 premiere aired and evil has returned to torment Ash, along with the news that he has a daughter he never knew.
The third season of Ash vs. Evil Dead premiered on Feb. 25 with Ash Williams standing triumphant as the hero of the series. However, as most fans of the Evil Dead franchise knows, things are not that easy.
Not only did someone else stupidly bring the Deadittes back from Hell to torment Ash, but an old flame showed up to let Ash know that he has a daughter and the demons are hunting her as well. With that, the third season (which is rumored to be the last season) of Ash vs. Evil Dead is underway.
With the first episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3 available to view on Starz, here is a look at five takeaways from the premiere episode.

There is no doubt that Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3 is keeping the fun of the series front-and-center. The entire episode opens with Ash Williams talking to the camera about saving Elk Grove and vanquishing evil. It all turned out to be a television commercial (with the boom mic showing) for Ash’s hardware store/sex emporium. Add in the scenes of him talking with customers about the various items they can purchase, and the new season starts off taking nothing seriously.
There is also the fact that Bruce Campbell has perfected his role as Ash Williams and has the sarcastic humor mastered. When talking to the mother of his child, he has memories of when he married her, including the wild ride from a bathroom stall to the altar.
The most significant takeaway from the entire Evil Dead franchise is that the humor offsets the gore, and season 3 started out in grand style with pitch-perfect Bruce Campbell humor.
