Stranger Things: Priah Ferguson upped recurring actress in season 3
By Sarah Baye
Stranger Things will give the fans more of one of their favorite characters from the previous season. The casting news was made official on Netflix’s Twitter account.
Lucas and his gang can start biting their nails — his sassy, one-liner little sister isn’t going anywhere. And according to the report, she may even become serious competition in Hawkins’ monster hunting local hobby.
Erica Ferguson, played by scene-stealer Priah Ferguson, has been promoted to a recurring actor for season 3, which comes as no surprise knowing the Duffo brothers had already written her character more into the last season than what was originally planned.

In Stranger Things season 3, Erica is bound to return with “an army of friends“. She will also apparently put down the bottle of syrup and “find herself caught on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous and unexpected threat”. If the unexpected threat is a new wave of nerds coming to town, no doubt Erica will commit to her rescue mission with great devotion, through sarcastic barbs and long judging looks.
Erica quickly became a fan favorite during season 2 as comic relief and Lucas’ precocious little sister.
Definitely, an announcement that makes us look forward to season 3 of Stranger Things even more. We wish Priah Ferguson a lot of delightful roasting (*sigh* my dream job).

Additionally, it’s been announced that Maya Hawke (daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke) will join next season as a series regular. She stars on BBC’s Little Women mini-series and will also appear in the movie Ladyworld, directed by Amanda Kramer.
Hawke will play Robin, a “sharp and playful” girl, “bored with her mundane day job” who “uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins”.
It sounds like Robin will join the not-so-selective “Hawkins supernatural activity witness” club — but then the real question is, who in town isn’t aware that Hawkins is the homeland of shady? Friendly reminder that half a school has at least once taken part in creatures hunting activity.
