Netflix is well aware of how long fans have been waiting for Jessica Jones to return and today they released a series of illustrated pulp covers to ramp up the excitement.

Drawn by women all around the world, there is one for each episode in this upcoming season. Based on the titles and the covers, Jessica won’t have a single episode to catch her breath in as she goes up against a new set of evil.

Not much is actually revealed from each cover other than the episode titles for the upcoming season. “AKA Start at the Beginning,” and “AKA Freak Accident” immediately establish that Jessica Jones plans to tell an origin story for the titular detective since the first season was focused on her battle against Kilgrave.

However, “AKA The Octopus,” also hints that the series might finally connect the greater MCU more than usual. For those who haven’t seen Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or any of the Marvel Films before Captain America: Winter Soldier, the octopus has long been a symbol of the evil organization HYDRA.

More from Marvel

While the group was allegedly disbanded, it’s possible that they secretly worked alongside IGH in an attempt to develop more super-powered people.

The other covers that stick out are the ones which have both Trish and Jessica on them. Throughout Jessica Jones, the private eye preferred to work alone but this season it appears as though Trish will take on a sidekick type role. However, episode twelve titled “AKA Pray For My Patsy,” indicates the fan-favorite character might get into some life-threatening danger. Not only should viewers be worried for Trish, but based on the cover something must have pushed Jessica into brandishing a gun.

Returning to Netflix this Friday, Jessica Jones is expected to cement its status as the best of the Marvel series on the streaming network. While the new pulp covers don’t give away too many clues, they are a sign of how passionate about the show people are.

Illustrated by women around the world, the second season could not return at a more appropriate time.
