“For Your Consideration” billboards for the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel are popping up all over Hollywood this week.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel really wants the Emmys to notice her. So much so, her agent posted a couple of billboards around Hollywood this week asking for consideration.

One of the characters from the hit Amazon show, Susie Myerson, took out billboards endorsing her brand new comedic client, Midge Maisel. Susie is played by Alex Borstein while Golden Globe winner Rachael Brosnahan plays midge.

The funny thing is, the Emmys won’t announce nominations until July 12. In fact, Emmy voting doesn’t even open until June 11.

Variety asked Mike Benson, the head of marketing at Amazon, about the bold “For Your Consideration” marketing campaign. “We look at this as ‘How do we drive more interest in the program — deeper engagement — whether it’s sampling a small piece of the show or getting someone to watch an episode or more?’ It really is the same objective whether we’re thinking about a general consumer or an Academy voter: you want to give them exposure to the show.”

One billboard, located at Hollywood and Argyle, simply states, “Susie Myerson, Personal Management, (212) 796-5636.” The second billboard on the Sunset Strip at Crescent Heights is larger and says, “I have a new client you need to meet. She is so funny she makes Lenny Bruce blush.”

“Susie” also sent postcards to Emmy voters with the same information.

And in case you were wondering, the phone number on the billboards and postcard actually works. A live person answers the call and will speak to you in character from the show, and then forward you to one of Midge’s comedy acts.
