Preacher season 3 casts two more recurring castmembers

The Preacher season 3 casting news continues to roll on as two more names have been added to the new season.
Deadline reports that the new Preacher season 3 cast members are Adam Croasdell (Reign) and Prema Cruz (Mozart in the Jungle). The two will portray the characters of Eccarius and Madame Boyd.
Eccarius is a familiar name and should provide Cassidy something to do while Jesse is dealing with family business. For those who remember the Preacher comics, Cassidy meets Eccarius when he leaves Jesse after the two had a falling out.

Eccarius is a vampire, just like Cassidy — but he is nothing like Cassidy. While Cassidy just wants to make it through the day without anyone trying to kill him, Eccarius loves being a vampire and soaks in the romantic lore of being a vampire. Cassidy is more of a regular guy while Eccarius is more of an Anne Rice creation.
As Cassidy himself said, Eccarius is a “wanker.”
As a matter of fact, Eccarius has his own cult with wannabe vampires worshipping him and pretending to be vampires themselves, using the name Les Enfents du Sang. While Cassidy and Eccarius initially hit it off in the comics, things don’t go well between them.
Interestingly, when Cassidy burnt his son alive in Preacher season 2, some fans thought that was the re-telling of the Eccarius storyline in a different way. It looks like Eccarius is coming on his own, though, but as the show proved in the first two seasons, they won’t always remain completely loyal to the comics.

The description of Eccarius for Preacher season 3 says he is a 350-year-old vampire who bears wisdom — which is nothing like his comic book counterpart, although he still might be a wanker.
As for Madame Boyd, she is described as a “tough forward thinker. Educated and attractive, she is taking the family business into the modern age.”
No telling how she fits into the Preacher season 3 story.
These two join four other brand-new cast members, including Betty Buckley as Gran’ma Marie L’Angell, Colin Cunningham as T.C., Jeremy Childs as Jody and Jonny Coyne as Allfather D’Aronique.
Preacher season 3 will return later in 2018.
