The second episode of Krypton picked up right after the first episode ended, with Seg-El in the Fortress of Solitude with Adam Strange talking about Superman.
This entire episode was instrumental in taking two major characters on Krypton and moving them forward in their own personal journies. The first is Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) himself, who is in this episode a reluctant hero. The second is Lyta-Zod (Georgina Campbell), who has started to stand up for what she believes in.
Krypton: The journey of Seg-El
When it comes to Seg-El, it was a typical hero’s journey. He lost his grandfather as a child and his parents as a young man. Now, he has a strange man in a Detroit Tigers ballcap telling him that he comes from the future and it is up to Seg-El to save the world.

Seg-El wants nothing at this moment but revenge. Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos) needs to convince him that Brainiac is coming and if he doesn’t do something it will cost millions of people their lives. He tells Seg about how Brainiac captures worlds and enslaves them, but it is too much for him to believe.
At the moment, Seg-El is supposed to marry Nyssa-Vex (Wallis Day) and join the House of Vex. He then asks for Daron-Vex (Elliot Cowan) to allow him to join the Science Guild and continue his grandfather’s work — not the work that got him killed, but the work that helped make Krypton a better place.
However, Seg-El wants to kill Daron-Vex and tells Adam Strange that if he doesn’t prove something to him that day, he is going to kill the man who executed his grandfather and caused the death of his parents.
However, while Adam Strange does find something, that is not what changes Seg-El’s mind.
