There is a lot to expect from this upcoming drama series but one of the most intriguing things about it is its plot. A female-led vigilante movement aimed at taking down and fighting against men who abuse their powers. It will echo the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements and will hone in topics like domestic abuse and aspects of how one view’s their own body.
It is gearing up to be a very impactful, powerful show with a kick-ass cast bringing the story to life. Dietland is based on a novel by Sarai Walker and from the initial reviews, it seems like the series gets right into the heart of the message–and fast.

Based on the information released, the story will follow Margulies’ character, Kitty Montgomery, who is a fashion magazine editor-in-chief that hires Plum Kettle (Joy Nash) to ghost-write an advice column for her. We can expect to see Kitty treat Plum like crap, which brings us to our next point–Kitty is fierce, relentless, and a force to be reckoned with.
Next: The Terror’s end and future fate
The series is narrated from Plum’s point of view and will reflect on her story with weight-loss and how she joins a female vigilante team aimed at targeting men who are unkind to women. And while we might expect Margulies to be at the front and center of the series, it is actually the character of Plum that will be a larger part of the story.
Dietland is sure to be an empowering, dark, and riveting series and with the cast and crew involved in this project–I am certain we won’t be disappointed.
Don’t miss the Dietland two-hour season premiere tonight on AMC at 9 PM EST!
