Fear the Walking Dead set to resume airing in August

As fans of Fear the Walking Dead continue to reel from last Sunday’s mid-season finale, AMC has been quick to announce when the show will continue to air.

The good news is fans won’t have to wait long.  The rest of Fear the Walking Dead season 4 will begin in two months time on August 12.

The rest of this article will cover major events from season 4 including the mid-season finale, so if you haven’t watched it yet, SPOILER ALERT.

More from AMC

Ironically, just a couple of weeks after lead actor Andrew Lincoln announced his impending departure from the main show, FTWD lead Madison (Kim Dickens) ended up being killed off.

The finale revealed that she died when the conflict with the Vultures come to a head and the baseball stadium became overrun.  To save her family, Madison lured the attacking walkers into the stadium and locked them in with her inside before setting the place on fire.

Ignoring a couple glaring similarities between this episode and mid-season 4 finale of TWD, the million dollar question for fans is what happens now?

If the post-prison story arcs from TWD are anything to go by, then the majority of the second of the season will have the survivors in search of a new community.

After that, it’s rather hard to say, especially thanks to the show’s ratings.  While the numbers were initially slightly better than last year, they have once again plateaued with last week’s episode being a series low, so a fifth season is still very much in doubt.
