9-1-1 releases season two promo with Jennifer Love Hewitt
By Ariba Bhuvad
9-1-1 is prepping for its two-night season two premiere with a quick teaser promo that includes Jennifer Love Hewitt.
9-1-1 is not messing around and literally shaking things up for its second season with a quick promo announcing the season two premiere date. After Connie Britton’s exit after the inaugural season, Jennifer Love Hewitt is set to take over for the lead female role and is whose voice is heard taking the 9-1-1 emergency call in the promo.
She will be playing the role of a 9-1-1 operator named Maddie when the series returns at the end of September. Two promos were released during the 2018 MLB All-Star Game which kickstarted the marketing for 9-1-1‘s sophomore season.
In the first promo above, we hear Hewitt’s voice answering a call as an 8.2 magnitude earthquake hits L.A. As mentioned above, she is essentially filling the void that Connie Britton left behind due to her one-year only deal for the series. Here’s to hoping we see her again soon!

In the second promo above, we get to see the aftermath of the earthquake as Los Angeles literally is falling apart. Both of the promos are aptly set to playing Carole King’s song, “I Feel The Earth Move” which perfectly describes the events unfolding in the promos.
For those unaware of the story of 9-1-1, it follows paramedics, firefighters, and police officers as they handle high-stress situations (including removing a snake from the body of someone it was trying to choke!). The plot also ropes in the emergency operators that take on the calls and help everyone navigate to those in need.

The second season will star Peter Krause, Angela Basset, Hewitt, Aisha Hinds, Oliver Stark, and Kenneth Choi. The series was Fox’s No. 1 show last season, bringing in about 15 million viewers per episode, and was also their No. 2 drama series. Basically, the show is badass, and you have to watch it if you haven’t.
The series will now air on Monday nights on Fox, beginning with a two-night season premiere starting Sunday, September 23rd. Don’t miss it!
