The Crown has cast its Prince Charles and Queen Mother!

Hear ye, hear ye, The Crown has officially cast the roles of Queen Mother and Prince Charles!
The Crown is deep into production for season three and along with it casting the remaining pivotal roles. The latest are the roles of Queen Mother and Prince Charles–how exciting, right?! Prince Charles will be played by God’s Own Country’s Josh O’Connor, and the Queen Mother by Allied’s Marion Bailey.

O’Connor is replacing Julian Baring for the role of Prince Charles, while Bailey is replacing Victoria Hamilton. It will be interesting to see how the series progresses with new actors in play, and how the audience will react to the dynamic cast change.
Given the success of season one and two and the previous casting already in place, we’re certain we won’t be disappointed! The Crown season three is expected to premiere sometime in 2019 and will surpass more than a year since the second season.
O’Connor shared his enthusiasm for joining the series and stated that the next two seasons will showcase a part of the Prince’s life that were extremely turbulent for himself, as well as the country and he is thrilled about bringing him to life.
Bailey also had a few words of excitement to share about taking on the role of Queen Mother and said it will be a tough act to follow and that it is a gift to be given this amazing opportunity along with getting the chance to work with a great team.
Well, we are just as excited to see what season three of The Crown has in store, and with the pictures that have been released thus far, 2019 can’t come soon enough!
