Jeremy Davies joins Arrowverse crossover as Arkham’s Dr. Deegan
The CW’s three-show Arrowverse crossover event has added another star. Emmy-winner Jeremy Davies will play Arkham Asylum’s Dr. Deegan.
Has The CW’s fifth annual Arrowverse crossover found its villain? While plot details remain scarce, Jeremy Davies has been cast in the Gotham-centric event as John Deegan, a doctor at the infamous Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane who’s up to no good.
According to DC Entertainment’s press release, Deegan “might just be crazier than the inmates he treats. His machinations will draw Green Arrow [Stephen Amell], the Flash [Grant Gustin] and Supergirl [Melissa Benoist] to Gotham City.”
Davies is best known for playing Daniel Faraday on ABC’s Lost and Dickie Bennett on FX’s Justified. The latter role earned him two Emmy nominations and one win for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 2012.

Davies has most recently guest starred on Starz’ American Gods and Showtimes’ Twin Peaks revival. He also had a main role on the fourth season of FOX’s Sleepy Hollow as Malcolm Dreyfuss.
Davies will not be the only newcomer in this winter’s Arrowverse crossover. Ruby Rose (playing Batwoman/Kate Kane), Elizabeth Tulloch (playing Lois Lane) and Cassandra Jean Amell (playing Mr. Freeze’s wife, Nora) will also make their Arrowverse debuts. Amell will be sharing the screen with franchise vet, her real-life husband, Stephen (Arrow), for the first time in either of their careers.
Tyler Hoechlin will also be reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent for the crossover. He previously appeared in Supergirl‘s second season, and his performance was widely praised as being one of the best Man of Steel portrayals in decades.
