Former Walking Dead actor arrives on Fear the Walking Dead [Photos]

AMC just released the first five Fear the Walking Dead photos for season 5. One of them included former Walking Dead star, Dwight.

Remember, Daryl kicked Dwight out of Alexandria even though he helped them defeat Negan. It was harsh but there was a silver lining to the move.

Dwight learned that his wife Sherry might still be alive thanks to a note he found and he set out to find her.

The second bit of good news was that Dwight’s story will continue now on Fear the Walking Dead.

This also comes at an interesting time since his character, who had completely redeemed himself, just died in The Walking Dead comics at the hands of Rick Grimes when the two came to an impasse on how to deal with their new home.

WIth Dwight looking for Sherry, will he finally find her after he shows up on Fear the Walking Dead? It could mean a great resolution to his redemption story. Of course, will they trust the guy, who looks straight up like an ax murderer in this pic?

Actor Austin Amelio actually said in an interview with Comicbook.com that Dwight wants to find Sherry so that he can “put some good back into the world.” If Fear the Walking Dead makes Dwight a straight-up hero, that would be a fitting tribute to the character.

How and when Dwight meets the group remains to be seen, but if another Fear the Walking Dead season 5 photo is any indication, Mogan might not be too happy to see him (or maybe, this is a completely different scene … fans will have to wait and see).

Also released was a photo of one of the only Season 1 characters left alive in Victor Strand (Coleman Nisenson), although Rueben Blades’ Daniel Salazar’s might be returning in season 5 as well. Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) is also still around.

Finally, there is a photo of Garret Dillahunt and Jenna Elfman as John and June, respectively.

Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC for its fifth season later in 2019.
