Yellowstone was renewed for season 3, which will see Lost’s Josh Holloway join the cast, on the day its second season premieres.

Last season the Kevin Costner-starring Yellowstone was a ratings winner and clearly, Paramount Network has confidence that trend will continue. The announcement of the series’ pick-up for a 10-episode third season came just hours before the second season debuted its first episode.

The series centers on the Dutton family who must defend their large ranch against those who want to encroach on its borders. In season three, one of those adversaries will be portrayed by Holloway. According to Deadline, Holloway will play a charming hedge fund manager named Roarke Carter. In a season-long arc, the character will pursue his ambitious plans for Montana.

Holloway is best known for playing the character Sawyer on Lost. More recently he starred on the sci-fi series Colony and the action drama Intelligence.
