Members of Young Justice: Outsiders celebrate Thanksgiving, which turns out to be an eventful day when royalty needs to be rescued.

It’s Thanksgiving on Young Justice: Outsiders, and while some members of the team and extended family are enjoying the festivities, others are not. Halo is still reeling from the knowledge of her involvement in the deaths of her boyfriend Brion Markov’s parents, but Brion is thankful to have Halo and his sister Tara in his life.

Artemis and Will Harper have set a grand table for Thanksgiving and Dr. Jace is delighted. She commends Artemis for being a great mentor to the new Young Justice members, a revelation that Artemis’ mother, Paula (formerly Huntress), doesn’t take kindly to. Paula doesn’t want her daughter to suffer the way she has, she’d rather Artemis and Will stay out of crime-fighting for good, so that they can raise Lian together. Considering how Artemis and Will have been eyeing each other since the return of Young Justice: Outsiders, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they ended up being an endgame couple.

Forager notices that Victor Stone is feeling low this holiday season. Vic still hasn’t come to terms with his transformation into Cyborg and nothing and no one seems to be helping him. When Forager tries to bring Vic into the fold, all he gets for his efforts are curt retorts.

While at dinner, Halo freaks out and tells Dr. Jace about the memories she accessed of her former self. Jace thinks Brion will be understanding since Halo is not Gabrielle, but Halo would rather Brion is left in the dark. After Jace tells Halo to go back into the house and act normal, she makes a call to a mysterious person asking for help.

Eventually, Vic also joins the others for dinner, much to the delight of Forager, who now has a new member in his ‘hive’.

The younger members of Young Justice take the day off to help the meta-kids from the Youth Centre have fun. But this being a superhero show, the fun doesn’t last long. Wendy is almost catatonic after putting on the inhibitor collar, and peer counselor Eduardo has no idea how to snap her out of it. Beast Boy would prefer to put on a fantastic display of their superpowers so as to show the new metas what superhero life is like, but Young Justice’s covert status means Beast Boy will have to abandon this plan.

Their reverie is interrupted by Count Vertigo, who incapacitates everyone in an effort to kidnap his niece, Beast Boy’s girlfriend Perdita. The team successfully disable Vertigo’s helicopter, but the Count has added new abilities to his repertoire. He’s able to add illusions that deceive the team, ensuring Young Justice run around in circles instead of finding Perdita. How is the Count able to do all this?

By not being the Count, at all! Perdita’s captor is none other than Psimon, and his henchperson is Devastation. They make a formidable duo, but they’re no match for Young Justice. The team can’t help but wonder why Onslaught, the villain team that Psimon is part of, is after Perdita or her home nation of Vlatava when Eduardo realizes Perdita’s kidnapping was just a distraction. Onslaught’s real mission is to re-capture the meta-kids from the Youth Centre.
