Netflix is officially bringing The Society back for season 2!

It’s been a long wait to hear if fans will get to head back to New Ham again but Deadline confirms the streaming service has renewed the series. The Society took the internet by storm earlier this year with viewers immediately falling in love with this modern take on Lord of the Flies and the Pied Piper folktale (if the theories are true).

Netflix released a fun video with the cast to announce the good news which seems to confirm some of our favorite heroes and villains will indeed be back for season 2.

The teaser features the main cast Kathryn Newton (Allie), Gideon Adlon (Becca), Sean Berdy (Sam), Alex Fitzalan (Harry), Kristine Froseth (Kelly), Jacques Coliman (Will), Olivia DeJonge (Elle), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Helena), Jose Julian (Gordie), Toby Wallace (Campbell), and Alexander MacNicoll (Luke).

However, the exciting part is also seeing the breakout star of The Society, Jack Mulhern (Grizz) also in the video! Both Mulhern and Grace Victoria Cox (Lexie) make appearances which seems to hint that the two will be upped from recurring stars to the main cast for season 2. There’s no word on whether or not Rachel Keller (Cassandra) will reprise her role even if it’s only through flashbacks.

There are plenty of questions fans want answered in the next season and the cast promises answers are coming. In the meantime, there are plenty of theories already developed regarding who Becca’s baby daddy is, if Cassandra is really dead, and where the heck all of these kids disappeared to.

Unfortunately, season 2 is a ways off with Netflix revealing The Society won’t return until sometime in 2020.
