Zendaya’s Euphoria has been renewed for season 2 at HBO
It’s official, HBO’s latest teen drama Euphoria starring Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Hunter Schafer will be back for a second outing.
According to Variety, HBO’s latest teen drama seems to have found a strong audience for the show and has been renewed for Season 2 by HBO. Euphoria aired its fourth episode last week and hit its series high with 609,000 viewers tuning in according to Deadline. The premiere which aired on June 16 has also been watched by 5.5 million viewers across all HBO platforms.
Euphoria follows Zendaya’s 17-year-old Rue Bennett who is a drug addict fresh out of rehab, she is struggling to make sense of her future. And then one day, her life changes forever when she meets Hunter Schafer’s Jules Vaughn, a girl who recently moved to the town following her parents’ divorce, and is also searching for her place in this world.
Euphoria is created and written by Sam Levinson and is also executively produced by the likes of Ravi Nandan, Kevin Turen, Drake and Future the Prince which definitely explains the killer soundtrack of this show.

Euphoria is currently fresh at Rotten Tomatoes with an 80% score and has managed to trend for all the four weeks it has been on air sparkling up headlines every week with the show’s graphic representation or with the locker room scene with 30 penises and by even showing an animated sex scene between Former One Direction members Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
The executive vice president of HBO Programming, Francesca Orsi had a positive comment on the renewal.

We are so grateful that he chose HBO as the home for this groundbreaking series. We look forward to following these complex characters as their journeys continue through the challenging world they inhabit.”"
Zendaya also reacted to this news on Twitter and shared her gratitude.
Alongside Zendaya and Hunter Schafer, Euphoria also stars Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Algee Smith, and Sydney Sweeney, Eric Dane, and Alexa Demie.
