Tell Me A Story: Carrie-Anne Moss & Danielle Campbell cast in season 2

There’s some more cast news regarding the second season of Tell Me A Story!
Tell Me A Story is bringing back Danielle Campbell for season 2 and adding Jessica Jones’ Carrie-Anne Moss according to a report released by Deadline. I’m super excited to learn that Campbell will be back after killing it in the premiere season. For those of you who are wondering or may not know, Tell Me A Story is an anthology series, which means every season will be a brand-new start with new characters and a new story, similar to American Horror Story.
Part of season 2’s cast already are Odette Annable, Natalie Alyn Lind, as well as season 1’s Paul Wesley (Vampire Diaries throwback!). Tell Me A Story first premiered in October of last year circa Halloween and made an impression on fans with its dark-twist on fairytale stories that we all love and have grown up with.
It’s a rather metaphorical approach to storytelling with each character representing characters from these iconic stories. The first season included Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, not to mention the Three Little Pigs. In its own way, Tell Me A Story brought these stories to life in a new, intriguing manner. And did I mention it was actually quite frightening?

If you think about it, many of these fairytale stories are actually a bit dark, to begin with. Hansel and Gretel being lured into a home full of candy, the whole Red Riding Hood Story is a bit morbid, and that’s just a couple of them. Tell Me A Story may be on to something here…
Recently it was announced that the second season of Tell Me A Story will follow the story of infamous princesses from stories like The Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. A dark take on any of these sounds pretty curious to me, after all, even Disney stories have a level of darkness associated with them if you pay close attention.
Campbell will be playing the role of Olivia who isn’t exactly Belle and has a story that follows that of Sleeping Beauty.
"Self-possessed, strong, smart and sly, Olivia left small-town life behind (including a small-town boyfriend) and moved to Nashville to pursue her her master’s degree in Philosophy and Comparative Literature. But fate has new plans for Olivia, plans which will force her to rely on every ounce of strength, brains and craftiness she’s got — simply to survive."
Moss’s character, Rebecca, is connected to all three storylines as the lead figure of her family.
"The steely matriarch of the Pruitt family, Rebecca keeps her emotions firmly in check. After losing her husband over a decade ago in a car crash, Rebecca was forced to raise her three children solo, with varying degrees of success. She struggles to find balance between practicality, tough love and actual love (especially with her youngest daughter, Ashley, played by Lind), and after years of pouring all her energy into her children, Rebecca is ready to start focusing on herself."
