The show about a show based on a true story of an old show is back on Netflix with ten new episodes.

On a day Glow isn’t filming all the ladies, Sam, and Bash have a day off, and they all spend it differently. While I love when the ensemble is together, I didn’t mind them broken up in smaller groups.

Ruth and Sam’s “best day” was the focal point of the episode leading to him declaring his love for her. It wasn’t romantic. It was off-the-cuff, but also matter-of-fact. I’m not sure they’re completely meant to be, but I want them to do it and get it over with already!

Quick recap: The ladies have the day off, and they all spend it differently. Debbie flies to California for the day to visit her son. Sam teaches Ruth how to gamble. Rhonda gets sick and has no idea how to take care of his new wife. Yolanda and Arthie get more intimate, but when Yolanda tries to return the favor, Arthie has trouble letting her.

More from Show Snob

It’s cringeworthy: When Yolanda is at the hair salon venting about her “boyfriend” – remember it’s the 80s, so the idea of people being out and proud was still taboo – and Arthie overhears her. It ends up working out for them because it gets them out of a passive-aggressive pattern and out with their feelings.

Biggest surprise and not surprising: After spending the best day together, Sam admits to Ruth that he’s in love with her. And I still think Ruth feels the same way, but Sam has too many flaws she’s not willing to overlook. He’s mean and drinks too much, and she so eloquently points that out. Sam says, “I want you to stop being an idiot. We’re here! We’re together! We should give it a shot! I think you want to.” But Ruth loves working with him and doesn’t want to ruin the good thing they have going.

Funniest moment: Just after Sam pours out his feelings in the hot tub, they are interrupted by Tammé, “Ooh! Hot tub club!” It was the perfect way to break up a serious moment.

Best moment: Debbie giving the flight attendant back the wings she gave her for her baby after she gave her mom guilt for only seeing him once a week. “You can just keep your f*@&ing wings.” Preach girl!

Best nostalgic moment: Teddy Ruxbin! Having been born in 1984, the original Teddy Ruxbin blew my mind when I was a toddler, so says my mom.
