A Million Little Things season 2, episode 2 recap: Grand Canyon

Will Katherine ever be able to forgive Eddie on A Million Little Things?
A Million Little Things is off to a great start as each character attempts to move on in their own way. Let’s get this recap started by exploring what’s going on with Maggie. She’s in remission and things are seemingly on the up and up–until her mother shows up. Not only does that come as a surprise but it turns out her parents are splitting up.
Naturally, Maggie is upset and shaken by this reveal, especially considering her relationship with Patricia isn’t the best. There’s not much time for her to be upset over the ordeal as she and Gary have plans at Regina and Delilah’s restaurant.
Meanwhile, A Million Little Things focuses a bit more on Eddie and Katherine’s relationship or lack thereof. After leaving home, Katherine decides to come back on the day of Theo’s Garden Day school event. It doesn’t exactly go as great as one would have hoped, unfortunately. The other moms were not friendly–at all.

A little bit later in the episode, it appears as if Katherine may have left home again, but instead she’s done quite the opposite. Their marriage is nothing like it was before, but she wants to figure out a way to meet somewhere in the middle. She has no idea how they will get there, but she doesn’t want Eddie to leave and would rather he stick around and help her through it.
Delilah is knee-deep in diapers and relearning how to be a mother, which involves her trying to remember the song she and Jon used to sing to the other kids when they were babies.
It was a bit unexpected but Barbara and Mitch show up at Delilah’s house asking why they keep getting letters from Rutledge Trust. Don’t they know Jon left Barbara some money?! It’s not exactly addressed directly, but it’s pretty obvious that Delilah knows the reason–PJ is Jon’s son.

At the restaurant, an old psychic friend of Regina’s shows up and it mixes things up for A Million Little Things. Gary isn’t amused by the guy, but Delilah and Maggie decide to pay him a visit. During the visit, it turns out that Jon isn’t the one reaching out to Delilah. Instead, it’s Maggie’s brother!
Gary is eager to get Maggie to get closer to Patricia, so he convinces her to meet up with her. Maggie is extremely hesitant to do so, but how can anyone resist Gary’s sweet support? The whole plan backfires when Maggie shows up at the restaurant to see her mother canoodling with a younger man.

This episode of A Million Little Things ends on a dramatic note while Rome is hanging out with P.J. During a conversation it’s revealed that P.J. knows a bit more about Rome and his friends than he could have imagined–P.J. is Jon’s son. How many kids are floating around in this show?!
