Amazon Prime will add A League of Their Own, an hour-long comedic adaption of the movie of the same name, to their streaming line up.

There may be no crying in baseball, but we can all cry happy tears that A League of Their Own is coming to Amazon Prime. And they already started casting!

Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson will star as Carson, a woman whose husband is fighting in World War II. She will also serve as writer and executive producer, along with Will Graham.

Jacobson’s role sounds awfully familiar to Geena Davis’ Dottie Hinson role in the 1992 film of the same name. While the show will serve as an “adaption,” it is not known whether the plot will be a sequel to the movie or if it will be completely separate.

D’Arcy Carden, who you may know as Janet on The Good Place, was recently cast as Greta. And Gbemisola Ikumelo (Famalam) will play Clance.

For those of you who haven’t seen one of the most beloved films of the ’90s, A League of Their Own tells the story of the first women who joined the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Founded by Philip K. Wrigley in 1943, it filled the void of America’s favorite pastime, while men were off fighting in World War II. And although it ended in 1944, the league continued on until  1954.

The film starred Tom Hanks, Davis, Lori Petty, Madonna, and Rosie O’Donnell. And if you’re over the age of 25, chances are you’ve sung the theme song with your friends.

And you’ve probably spoken beloved phrases like, “Avoid the clap, Jimmy Dugon!” and “Lay off the high ones. I like the high ones. Mule! Nag!”

My point is, there are a lot of people who love this movie, so, I hope the show lives up to its legacy.
