White House Farm: HBO Max secures US rights to new series

HBO Max will be airing the exciting new series, White House Farm.

Stephen Graham is about to have a big year in streaming! Deadline reports The Irishman star has another show slated to hit the US. HBO Max has acquired the rights to White House Farm, which is expected to air sometime in 2020.

The show revolves around the true events of the infamous White House Farm murders. It’s expected to explore multiple points of view which is necessary to explain how the investigative process was done. While originally it was suspected that Sheila Caffell had murdered her two sons and parents before committing suicide. However, this theory quickly unravels as more and more evidence comes to light.

Graham is slated to play DCI “Taff” Jones, one of the investigators. Freddie Fox of Black’47 is set to play Jeremy Bamber, Sheila’s brother. The cast also includes Mark Addy, Gemma Whelan, Alexa Davies, Mark Stanley, Alfie Allen, Cressida Bonas, Nicholas Farrell, and Amanda Burton.

White House Farm is set to be written by Kris Mrska and Giula Sandler with Paul Whittington to direct. Willow Grylls, Charlie Pattinson, Kris Mrska, and Elaine Pyke serve as executive producers and Lee Thomas as a producer.

The CEO of All3Media International, Louise Pederson, spoke fondly about the new series. She promised viewers will not be disappointed by how the show explores the case.

"“It focuses on not only the crime itself and the subsequent police investigation but also the devastating emotional impact of the tragedy, all informed by extensive research and interviews with those closest to the case.  Crime stories have a global resonance and we are delighted that a number of major international broadcasters including HBO Max and Canal+ will be airing the series.”"

While HBO Max will be airing the show in the US, Canal+ has struck a deal for both France and French-speaking European countries, DirecTV for Latin America, Sky for New Zealand, and BBC Studios for Australia, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Norway.
