Light as a Feather season 2, episode 11 recap: …Clear as Mud

In episode 211 of Hulu’s Light as a Feather, Mack and Trey seem to be back together and Peri may not be as she seems.

Previously on Light as a Feather, Violet (Haley Ramm) recovered from her acid burns but Mack (Liana Liberato) and Henry (Dylan Sprayberry) were in danger of being buried alive by Sylvia Gallagher (Brea Bee). After escaping her, it’s more obvious that they’re all still cursed, along with Sammi (Katelyn Nacon), who plans to escape to New York with Trey (Jordan Rodrigues). The group decide to adopt a “buddy system,” although Violet predicts it won’t work.

Peri (Adriyan Rae) blames herself for Sylvia’s weird plot to bury Mack and Henry alive. However, Alex (Brianne Tju) thinks Sylvia had been planning it for a long time. On the bright side, Henry is reunited with his sister, Lena (Harley Graham). Interestingly, though, Lena keeps referring to Sylvia as “they.” Henry stays at Mack’s, and all seems well at first. However, he takes pills called duprexitine and nearly O.Ds. Henry thinks it was Sylvia messing with his medication and he theorizes that she has a helper.

In an interesting Light as a Feather moment, Trey gives Mack a potato chip necklace, inspired by an experience in kindergarten. While it seems Trey is leaving for New York soon, there’s still some chemistry between them. They hug, which could be considered scandalous were Sammi to walk in. Later, Sammi and Mack do meet and Sammi gives her some albums. Mack apologizes for trying to kill her when possessed by her sister’s spirit. Later, Sammi reveals she’s going it alone to New York, thinking Trey prefers Mack over her. Trey indeed takes Mack back, even though he and Sammi seemed like an adequate couple.

As this is happening, Violet breaks in to investigate files but is interrupted by Henry, who threatens to kill her (thinking she’s responsible for everything). They make peace, however, and visit Trey and Mack. Violet reveals that Peri’s brother is actually the body in her trunk and they believe Peri was involved in the Henry/Mack kidnapping and live burial plot. Yikes!

The question is, how involved is Peri? At no point did she seem like the most twisted character on Light as a Feather. However, if Violet really did something against her brother, who’s to say what she might do in retaliation?
