With just one week to go before the premiere of the sixth and final season of Schitt’s Creek, start the New Year off right by rewatching these five episodes.

As Robert Frost once wrote, “Nothing gold can stay” — such is the case with beloved comedy Schitt’s Creek. At the height of its popularity, thanks largely to Netflix and a passionate fanbase, the series will conclude by choice of co-creators Dan and Eugene Levy with its upcoming sixth season that premieres next Tuesday, January 7.

As we prepare to stay goodbye, here are five episodes with five iconic lines you should rewatch tonight to start the New Year (and a new decade!) off right, aka in a good mindset and a good mood. Best wishes, warmest regards!

Season 1, Episode 2: The Drip

More from Show Snob

“Love that journey for me.” – Alexis Rose

Go a little bit Alexis, and journey into 2020 with a positive attitude! Sure, no one knows what the future holds, but that’s the beauty of it. You’re free to believe that it’s going to be great. Come what may, you’ve made it through today and to the start of a new year and new decade. In the words of David Rose, “I feel like that needs to be celebrated.”

Season 2, Episode 13: Happy Anniversary

“That town you passed through, it’s not called Schittsville. It’s called Schitt’s Creek, and it’s where we live.” – Johnny Rose

Yaaasss, Johnny! Leave shame in 2019, and work on self-confidence and self-love in 2020. Not judging yourself is all that matters. It’s not always easy, but you are always worth it.

Season 3, Episode 4: Driving Test

“Trust me, people aren’t thinking about you the way that you’re thinking about you.” – Alexis

Ooh, yay for supportive siblings! When David starts panicking before his driver’s test, Alexis tries to calm him down with this an incredibly insightful piece of advice, which anyone who struggles with anxiety can definitely relate to and appreciate. David doesn’t at the time, but he soon comes to see that his sister was right.

Ring in 2020 by cutting yourself some slack and reminding yourself that if you feel like you’re overthinking something, you probably are. And if you need to talk it through with someone, reach out to a family member or a friend or a hotline. Don’t suffer in silence because you think people won’t understand. They will.

Season 4, Episode 11: The Rollout

“I just feel like if I didn’t tell you how I felt I would literally go insane.” – Alexis

Whether it’s confessing your feelings to someone, applying for a new job or even raising your hand more in class, put yourself out there in 2020! What’s the worst that could happen? Odds are it will still be a lot better than not taking the leap at all. And what’s the best that could happen? You’ll never know if you don’t go for it.

Season 5, Episode 13: Life Is a Cabaret

“It feels like everyone’s growing up all around me.”  – Stevie Budd

The New Year is always prime time for people to compare themselves to other people, much like Stevie does at the end of season five. And it’s not matter of being jealous of someone else, as she’s quick to point out to Moira, it’s a matter of being disappointed in herself. It’s a matter of not achieving the milestones she thought she should have by now.

Moira, however, is equally quick to point that Stevie is a lot cooler than she gives herself credit for because she refuses to be anything less than her authentic self. So, one that note, stay true to yourself in 2020, no matter what. Only then will you win.
